For todays lesson, we will be discussing the words Psychopathology and Psychosis. These words are not to be associated with anyone in particular. There will be three questions:

1. In your own words, what does Psychopathology mean too you.

2. In your own words, what does Psychosis mean too you.

3. How does the correlation between these two words affect the way you think.

There's no due date, so feel free to take your time.

"What separates socio from psycho?"

I haven't finished this audio, but it could be helpful:

He's the same guy that has the psychopathy checklist, that's mentioned on the ASPD page in the wiki.

Technically, I am fairly sure there is no consensus as to what defines a psychopath exactly, or it is not accepted by any organization, etc...

Fairly sure there are some definitions that float around that confuse the idea of sexual monogamy and loyalty in marriage with a "normal" person, while anyone who deviates is socially disordered. So... I don't know...

A psychopath doesn't engage society for societal reasons.

A sociopath engages society and actively participates with varying degrees of success.

They are both psychos...

The psychopathology is really nothing more than a psycho on a path.

Psychosis, is when the algebraic mind is no longer effectively dampening input stimulus, no longer buffering it in a safe manner, and is dangerously unpredictable.

3. I believe it gives rise to a new definition. The Sociopath, which can no longer represent psychopathology without being redundant. The Sociopath is the new model human in the everyday. American Psycho the movie, got it right. That's a Sociopath who eventually enters psychosis.

Hannibal Lector, now there is the last true remaining normal human being on the planet.

There are only vectors, and behavior is what defines an individual in psychology. The belief system rarely makes a difference, correct? Who they are in essence? So...

A psycho is someone who has no direction. No vector.

A Psychopath is someone who is commited to a delusional vector or direction.

A Sociopath is someone who is scaterbrained, following a complex set of vectors for whatever reasons.

And psychosis, is when the sensory input coming into the mind, is no longer able of predicting what will result in behavior. (subjectively, from the perspective of the individual, not objectively from the perspective of the observer. In fact the observer may be more accurate in determining the direction of one in psychosis based on sensory input.)

The first and most interesting part: "nothing more than a psycho on a path". You've confused me though. You have your definition of a Sociopath. Then you have your definition of a Psycho. If a Psycho enters pathology though a "path", then a socio would be correlated to a "path" as well. What separates socio from psycho?

1. Psychopathology is a noun for the investigation and research of what a given society believes constitutes abnormal and pathological states of mind.

2. Psychosis is a dramatic split from normal cognition. It characterized by bizarre and obsessive thoughts, hallucinations, delusions, unusual emotional behavior, and often a loss of insight into the psychotic condition itself. A wonderful book for those interested in the full-blown psychotic experience should have a look at The Schreber Case: Psychoanalytic Profile of A Paranoid Personality.

3. Those two words don't affect the way I think other than categorically, and the only relation I see between them is categorical. The correlation in mainstream society between "psychosis" and "psychopathology" is unsurprising to me. Laymen and others tend to use language to impressionistically; often using words far out of context to make a point "felt." Like how investment fraud victims have declaimed that they're been "raped and pillaged." No...swaths of Iraq and Syria are being raped and pillaged. People just toss around words trying to make impacts, which is why there are many people continue who confuse being schizophrenic with being a "psycho."
