a relative of mine has this disease. The symptoms don't sound like much but it's really quite debilitating. I don't think it's related to seizures, but many sufferers are comorbid.

Okay... you want the low down a possible issue with glyphoshate and GMOs?

These particular scientists have a 64 page report which is new, and which I have not read in full, but they are trying to link heavy glyphoshate usage with celiac disease.

Glyphosate, pathways to modern diseases II: Celiac sprue and gluten intolerance

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3945755/

We've all heard about celiac disease, to the point of believing it is ridiculous, right? Well... why the sudden increase, right?

Pesticide use ramping up as GMO crop technology backfires: study

http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/10/02/us-usa-study-pesticides-idUSBRE89100X20121002

Anyways, to explain GMOs to someone who may not understand them. Generally they are safe. Sure. Eating anything "strange" might effect us in "strange" ways, right? Someone who eats nothing except potatos every7 day of thier life, might look different that thier identical twin sister who ate nothing except vodka every day of thier life right? So genetically modifying foods isn't that high risk. Farmers for millenium have been choosing seeds from the best pants to spawn whole new generations of better plants.

What GMOs are, as we should understand them. They are plants which have been "genetically modified" to be resistant to specific glyphosphate and other herbicides and pesticides.

Sounds great, right? Spray a field with poison, which is exactly what herbicides and pesticides are. They are poisons, and they won't die. Win win win.

The problem is, the plants don't die, but they continue to metabolize the poisons. They've grown a resistance to them, so the farmers say hey, I can dumb more glyphosphate on the plants, for whatever reason.

Yet, we as humans do not have the same level of resistance to the glyphosphates. Right? It's like the iocane powder situation.

Monitoring glyphosate residues in transgenic glyphosate-resistant soybean.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/14971683

Higher concentrations were detected when glyphosate was sprayed several times during the crop cycle, and when treatments approached the flowering stage. AMPA residues were also detected in leaves and in grains, indicating metabolism of the herbicide.

Yeah, I think it was a specific type of bee propolis. An orange variety, that I may be intolerant to, or perhaps I am allergic to or something. My salivary gland is swollen. My inner nose is swollen. I'm drinking nearly 2 or 4 litres of water a day. Have dry mouth. Dry eyes, and wake up to seizures every now and then.

But, I've since learned that there are terpines in marijuana, so I'm low dosing that every other day or so. I figure hey, maybe it will work.

I mean did you see that Tommy Chong guy on TV? How old is he? The only issues he seemed to have were with his knees. Everything else, seems pretty great with the guy. So I'm treating marijuana as a medicine. I don't personally enjoy the high, especially not now,m these days. I hate the high especially in social situations.

Yeah, it's probably one of those catch all diseases. Symptoms that explain a wide array of possible issues.

Imagine how many things in our bodies clog up our systems which we simply have no clue about. We do not dissect everyone with electron microscopes these days. We do not cut people open. The entire medical profession is humane, and essentially working from a holistic problem solving, experience and educational based, state of mind, but nearly entirely blind at the same time.

Most certainly, as any time, I could be wrong. But I could be very right. So interpret as you will as I had this erased from a forum recently. I am normally heavily censored in many venues which are not considered academic.

I'm putting it here before I lose it...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sj%C3%B6gren's_syndrome

Sjögren's syndrome or Sjögren syndrome (pronounced /ˈʃoʊɡrɨn/ or /ˈʃʌrɡrɛn/[1] in English, the latter to approximate the Swedish pronounciation) is a chronic autoimmune disease in which the body's white blood cells destroy the exocrine glands, specifically the salivary and lacrimal glands, that produce saliva and tears, respectively.[2] The immune-mediated attack on the salivary and lacrimal glands leads to the development of xerostomia (dry mouth) and keratoconjunctivitis sicca (dry eyes), which takes place in association with lymphocytic infiltration of the glands.[3] That inflammatory process eventually severely damages or destroys the glands.

The Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company's Doublemint gum and tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams announced the launch of the Doublemint Aces for Campus Excellence (A.C.E.) grant program, which highlights the distinctive contributions that young people make on campus and in communities.

Has anyone heard the old saying, if you swallow gum, it stays in your stomach for seven years?

Any insight regarding these loose connections is highly appreciated.

Additional Information

Tree Resins are traditionally used in gum. When we chew gum, the juices from these tree resins are absorbed through our intestinal tract. I do not fully understand how the body utilizes or metabolizes or removes the substance from the body at that point forward.

Some ideas to dissolve these juices, should these saps prove difficult to move through the human body.

Terpenes. Found in various plant essential oils. It's name derives from Turpentine most probably, which is another option, however Turpentine is very strong stuff, and most modern Turpentines are made from minerals rather than pine trees as they were in the past.

Ethyl Alcohol. According to one random person on the internet, dissolves tree resins. Could Gin, which is distilled from Juniper Berries, which contain terpenes, be used with a carbon tonic water to help move these tree resin juices (or saps) through the human system?

Clearly this could be an issue with some people - http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2883412/ - Could Purpura be a positive healing or expelling event? I am asking because I don't know. This is pretty funny.

http://www.epilepsysociety.org.uk/juliets-story#.VGBwyDTF-So

I affectionately refer to my seizures as ‘gin and tonic colonics’ because of how they make me feel afterwards... (there’s some artistic license here – actually I feel incredibly serene after a seizure).
Coincidentally, they had a kidney failure incident as a child.

Beaver Castor Oil may be a remedy in some cases, according to old folk tale remedies and the Romans.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castoreum

The Romans believed the fumes produced by burning castoreum could induce an abortion. Paracelsus thought it could be used in the treatment of epilepsy.[8]

The Beaver is a rodent which has evolved to adapt itself to be able to literally eat trees. The castor oil is an end product found in a gland, which may contain acids suitable for dissolving tree resins. Beaver Castor Oil also raises cardiac output and may be dangerous as this medical technique has since faded into obscurity, if it ever existed at all to begin with.
This person claims that turpentine has been used successfully to treat epilepsy in the past.

http://chestofbooks.com/health/materia-medica-drugs/Roberts-Bartholow/Practical-Treatise/Turpentine-Therapy.html#.VGB5IjTF-

So

Turpentine has long been used successfully in epilepsy, but in those cases only in which the seizures were due to the reflex impression of intestinal parasites (taeniae).

I don't know where they get their information. ????

http://www.epilepsynaturapedia.com/index.php/Turpentine#Evidence_or_the_Use_of_Turpentine_in_the_Treatment_of_Epilepesy

Could moving these juices through the system simply complicate matters and make a bad situation worse? I feel in my particular situation, I have already cleared my kidneys of any issues that were most prevalent during the first three or so weeks of my seizures. Now I am primarily focused on moving this stuff out and away from my heart, should that be my current reason for an increased heart rate, which is steadily 20 beats per minute faster than before my seizure incidences began. Perhaps dissolving is a very different technique than temporarily dislodging and pushing substances deeper into the system? What might be the most logical path for these substances to exit the body?

Perhaps this hypothesis may shed light on to why children with seizure disorders tolerate high fat oily diets very well as these substances moving through the system cause little to no obstruction as they slip through the digestive processes with a little more ease?

Any thoughts regarding this? I am interested in any intelligent discussion, positive or negative that may arise. Living with a seizure disorder is very difficult at times so please keep in mind that this is in no way medical advice, and only thoughts open for discussion.

This has got to be a joke right? http://sjogrensworld.org/forums/index.php?topic=15901.0

I'm a 24 year old male with both Celiac Disease and Sjogren's. I had been taking plaquenil for roughly a year as of January, of this year, but I discontinued taking it some months ago. Instead I got helminths in December, and restarted testosterone replacement therapy a few weeks ago, (blood levels of <150mg/dl for a 24 year old guy), and stopped eating ALL grains/Dairy as of a couple weeks ago. [I had been gluten free for 2-3 years and while it did help, it never really improved the Sjogren's much]

Last week, every single symptom I had disappeared. I felt better than I've ever felt. Normally, it's difficult for me to even leave my house and I have adapted to the sedentary lifestyle but I wanted to do everything... run, swim, and even jump (just to jump!). My brain function went from everything appearing as a slide show, with my memory so bad that I couldn't remember names of people that I've known for years, and had trouble even finding the words with which to speak... to feeling intelligent and snappy again. My mental function alone made me feel like a completely different person.

------- ANYWAYS --------

I've tried the castoreum and it substantially raised my cardiac output to levels I felt were dangerous. After 2 1/2 months of doctors telling me that I am crazy, I've been sequestered to the "insane" category.

Which is totally possible. However, I am not interested in going on tranquilizers to further destroy my health.

I've recently become aware that for over 2 1/2 months I've had a lump in my throat which is either one of two things. Cancer, or some time of blockage in my lymphatic system.

I suspect that it is blockage, since prior to the 2 1/2 months, I began chewing bee propolis to clear a sore throat that persisted for two weeks. I may have either rubbed my throat raw, and the sore throat may have been nothing more than a thin mucus membrane or something which has collected "gum juice". The onset of my seizures were most severe in my kidneys. That's cleared out with tons of natural kidney remedies but it pops back every now and then if I am not careful. Anyways. Could be cancer. But I highly suspect that when you chew gum, it is clogging up your lympathics for upto 7 years.

You know how some gum after a few hours of chewing instantly disintegrates?

I typically do exhibit the symptoms of sjorgens syndrome. Dry eyes. Seizures. And so on. The more I learn, the more I seem to be proving myself correct, so... It is an auto immune disorder, where the body attacks "it's own tissue".

I am shocked that it is only within the last few years that technology has advanced to a point where people are beginning to examine these microscopic areas of tissues in the body. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, but there are TONS of auto immune disorders.

I should also mention I am one of those people who thinks, hey, maybe people in the bible and other ancient historical texts really did live for centuries at a time. I can only imagine the amount of censorship through the ages. Anyways.

Wait till we find out what celiac is, right?
