By asking this question (in the thread title) it shows that you are self-conscious. You want to know if you fit in or not. You hate being an outsider. It makes you uncomfortable. I also imagine that you are likely more of a follower than a leader because you prefer to blend in than stand out. This can be said for other areas of your social life as well.

I bet anything you are an introvert. More of a homebody than a party goer. You open up to a few close friends, but you're not one for big crowds.

One could say that by posting this thread you are an attention-seeker, but I think for you, it is the opposite. You don't want attention. You want acceptance.

 You are introverted. More of a listener than a talker. You like to be part of the group as long as you're not the center of attention. You excel more in the background. That is where you are most comfortable and that is where you do your best work.

You don't like a lot of social interaction, but you're not really shy either, just more quiet and reserved.
