Fear?

Fear is when you've driven too far away from the McDonald's for it to be worth going back, but you still haven't checked the bag to see if they remembered the sauce for your nuggets.

Hmmmnnn... sometimes I get these strange feelings that I've left the stove on. It's almost a paranoia, which is probably a type of fear.

Fear is buying a pack of low sodium ham and making a sandwich with it. Fear is biting into the sandwich and putting the ham away as you chew. Fear is looking at the clear underside of the ham packet and seeing a dead spider with missing legs floating about.

You don't know what Fear is.

I know Fear.

"I didn't feel fear though. It was more like runaway nervousness."

What's the difference? Nervousness roots from fear. A fearless person wouldn't be nervous.

That's like saying "I didn't feel anger, it just pissed me off" or "I didn't feel sadness, it's just grief".

I nearly lost control of my legs when someone cornered me in an elevator at knife point once.

That was pretty scary...

I didn't feel fear though. It was more like runaway nervousness.

Fear is being in the middle of the forest at night, or inside a dark abandoned building. Sometimes the imagination runs wild.

Personally I enjoy a good scare the most. Which is entirely different than fear. A scare is like a sudden shock. Fear is like a creeping emotion.

One time I had my headphones on and did not hear the approaching train. It blew right past my head, maybe a few inches, and the wind blew me back. That's a scare.
