I haven't messed with any sort of cryptography or encryption in a scholastic setting in god knows how long, and it wasn't even a course, just part of a course. I wanted to share this when a couple people inquired about it on the old forum, but here works better. That site, I believe, are recycled online classes from Stanford (USA) and available to the public for free. I haven't personally taken it, but I recently ran across the site on reddit. It has the CS designation, so it might require some coding, but probably really basic coding - nothing you couldn't Google.
@Brandon: Nothing high-level, I'd imagine, or at least probably not something that you couldn't wiki, or would not be explained within the course. If you ever need help doing computations, Wolfram Alpha is a good online tool.

I recommend using truecrypt.
One of the best open source encryption tools on the market, (currently) quite difficult to crack without the use of some serious computer forensics equipment and a good amount of time. (this is great for the average to advanced user, just remember, no code is uncrackable.) but with the proper precautions and security measures combined, you can make the level of difficulty much higher.
Remember, he is an excellent trol.. I remember when I was 12 years old going on a site and posting on everything for the purpose of getting attention.
WolframAlpha is the best. I had to make some workarounds to avoid the inevitable "we can't show you any more answers", but besides that it is great.
