Decisions?

What kind of decisions are you talking about?

It depends on how the decision will affect the course of my life and the people around me, what kind of obstacles come up during the course of carrying it out, etc.

I was mostly talking about this part.

Dunno... I mean, when you have to make an important life decision, what's your behaviour?

I personally tend to procrastinate to excess, but when I finally decide, almost nothing is going to make me change my mind.

My bf , for example, usually prefers not to join. "I don't know", "maybe", "I don't care" even if he has to decide something about himself; sometimes instead he immediately knows what to do and doesn't want to hear anybody's opinion even if it can be useful.

I was curious about you guys.

I like open-endedness. I think making decisions and creating responsibilities for myself narrows my possibilities. But some possibilities are rewarding, and possible only through narrow routes. If enticing enough, I will make a decision to travel such a route. If somewhere along the path I realize that I've erred in judgment, I have no trouble breaking off from the planned course. I don't feel a need to be consistent. Life is full of fluctuation. Maybe being steadfast in the face of fluctuation at any cost is a good thing at times. It demonstrates willpower.

What to eat, wear... hell yes. I change my mind about that stuff constantly. Which routes to take from here to there... I have preferred routes, streets I walk on bc the scenery is nicer. But if I run into construction or smthg I'm not so attached that I can't take a different route.

Daily routines like hygiene, tooth brushing, bedtime for my son: I'm less flexible about that.

I'm pretty sure you meant something else, tho. Could you elaborate?

Okay, I'm curious to know.

When you guys take a decision, you tend to change your mind easily? Or you just stick with that, in order to be consistent even if you know your choise is not really right?

Do you make up your mind or you prefer to opt out about the most of things?

What's your relation with decisions?

When I make a decision I usually stick to it, unless the decision wasn't genuine to begin with.

For example: I might tell someone I've decided to do something that I didn't really intend to do at all. I just told them I would do it to get them off my back, or for some other reason.
