They're both right about each other due to the projection. It's like on Lost, Jacob and his brother the Man in Black. Only in this case it's the Black Man. They are two halves of a whole. 

None of the things you list mean anything unless you put them in your subjective perspective. Why should I care what happens to humanity after I'm gone?

If you want to change things then change things, by all means, but your goals are not objectively better than anyone else's.

Start asking people how many brothers and sisters they have, it will give you immediate insight as to how competitive they are...

Fuk, I can probably guess which people come from large families... no problems... they behave differently. A little more greedy, a little more swift, and without second thought or consideration for anyone else.
