hi,has anybody ever meet a psychopath/sociopath or is anybody here a psychopath/sociopath, if so explain how it is being with/are a psychopath/sociopath?

It's all a matter of what the subject decides to do. In some cases, some will be fine with them, in others cases some will be fine with them at first. Though a mindset may be alike, they are still vastly different, so in many cases, it's amazing being with them, so is the damage one can take if they have too much invested in who turned out to be the predator.

If you are knowledgeable about them, then it renders them powerless, since you'd be examining the behaviors of those you meet and setting boundaries. They only really prey on those who seem naive.

no body is categorically labeled as psychopath these days

they run them dsm and of course pcl-r too but "psychopath" is not a valid diagnose

they will label u with some other personality disorder approved by dsm or several if over lapping

if u score over 30 in pcl-r they will add "psychopathic traits" to ur diagnose

so u might have narcissistic personality disorder with psychopathic traits or antisocial personality disorder with psychopathic traits for example

this can be added to any disorder dsm and pcl-r are different tools

both artificial and inadequate in measuring human psyche but people need to be labeled some how i guess- in the modern world

You have no reason to be tested. You have never been committed any where and have never been arrested (where they would even test you for psychopathy anyways)

So even if you are AsPD/psychopath you are a fairly mild one for sure

You've hardly read anything about psychopathy? LOL yeah right

I never claimed to have any desire to be tested for psychopathy. So, I don't particularly care.

Why? Because I've been caught for the crimes I've committed?

If that's what you define as 'mild', then hey, that works for me.

I'm not sure why you find it so hard to accept that I haven't read much about psychopathy. I don't read much at all about anything.

Why would psychopathy be any different?

I just find it odd you were never any where while you were a kid or something.

Because obviously you had to read about AsPD to even know what it is. And psychopathy as well

history of crime, legal problems, and impulsive and aggressive behavior.

What the fuck are you talking about?

We moved around a lot when I was a kid. I went to about 5 different schools. And even did more moving around after I left home.

I've lived in three different states and lots of different locations.

Oh wait... you mean in a psych ward or juvenille detention centre?

You honestly think that every single kid with psychopathy ends up in one?

history of crime, legal problems, and impulsive and aggressive behavior.

Why the fuck would I need to read about it to know what it is.

The only reason I found out what AsPD is is because I was diagnosed with it. I hardly knew anything at all about that shit before I was diagnosed.

Yeah I've been to different schools too but I've still be in plenty of psychologists office, different kinds of therapists, social workers, principals office and neurologists office. All of those school/state provided except the neurologist.

No i meant any kind of mental health professional.

Ok so why did you tell your psychologists about your criminal behavior? (assuming they didn't know through other means out of your control)

It seems professionally irresponsible to diagnose you with the disorder. you pose no threat to society

Your mother clearly cared alot about your mental health. I doubt mine would have cared if I died.

Besides, going to mental health professionals costs money. There were times where my mother couldn't even afford a babysitter, and yet you think she should have been able to afford to send me to mental health professionals?

Right....

I didn't go into detail about my past crimes to any psychologist. The main thing we talked about was my homicidal urges because I felt like I was losing control.

I don't see why. I was interviewed and tested for it.

I was also diagnosed with schizoid PD. Was he irresponsible to diagnose me with that too?

As long as people believe that, that's fine by me.

Uh no... lol. My mother and father were instructed to take me to a neurologist. My parents had virtually no idea about 85% of the services I was receiving. So out of pocket they probably paid a $100 for everything I got (the neurologist was verryyy far away too lol)

I don't know how Australia works but all of those people were from the school. Every school in America I believe is required to have a psychologist in the district (at least one) as well as social workers.

Don't play the poor card sweetheart - because I grew up poor too lol. If they want you, THEY'LL GET YOU

Ok but where is the criminal behavior and legal issues?

Nope. Seems fitting

AsPD is more than simply about breaking the law. Even though it is not as common, it is still possible to get diagnosed with AsPD without a criminal record, as has been proven. After all, people don't suddenly develop AsPD the moment they get charged with a crime. Crime is only one aspect of it. AsPD can impact people's lives in a number of different ways.

As for me personally, I've been reported to the police numerous times in the past, but I've never been charged with any crime I've committed.
