Guess what...

I once had access to a Subway that was part of a 24 hour gas station. 3am Meatball Sub is a gratifying experience.

I miss this one 24 hour Diner I used to go to. It had the white polished tile walls with a black and white checkered floor with booths to sit and order from. It was nothing special, which is what made it special, and it was a great place to go when tired from clubbing or bored of just hanging around outside at night. Night staff, if not the fatigued type, seem less afraid of cracking jokes and being human beings, which was nice.

24 hour shops are the shit.

I want a burger now...

That's why I love places that are open 24 hours, waiting for food isn't fun.

Mine was a 24 hour kebab stall that sold beer. I would have gotten fat if I didn't have this fantastic metabolism.

I did turn into a bit of an alcoholic though.

The staff were disgruntles and tired by 12:00 and didn't talk to you at all, which I find relaxing.

I now imagine you like this:

...I stayed awake until 05:30 just so I could go to the shop and get junk food.

is the junk food worth not learning how to cook stuff for 1/10th the price?

i thought the whole selling point of junk like fast food was that its cheaper than doing it the healthier way?

Taco Bell is the only place open late around in my parts.

Nice steak quesidilla and some moonlight is always a good combo.

Depends on the food and occasionally the atmosphere. When not with company, more than likely if I were to be cooking something I'd be eating it at home or maybe packing it to eat elsewhere. A change in scenery can sometimes be nice for clearing my head or helping me focus, and having someone make the food for me means I can have the leisure of sitting back and enjoying it.

Then there's those times where food cravings are oddly specific, like how I used to be with Panera's Soup in a Bread Bowl. Making it on my own doesn't really recreate their specific taste.
