there has been a lot of mis understandings surrounding this story written in the 19th century victorian england from the day it was 1st made into a theatrical play
the original story is about the doctor jekyl who has violent sexual fantasies because its victorian england a lot is left in imagination but torture is specifically mentioned
the serum he creates allows him to transform out wardly so he can do what ever he wants to do with out the fear of endangering his good standing in the society- until it back fires
the mr hide never controls him even if he wants every 1 to believe it so because its just a mask he just doesnt want to face the consequences who does ?
i like the original story better than every film version that has been made ever since
