Apocalypse Lite is trying to counter a well structured ideological argument with armchair psychoanalysis. While I disagree with Cody Wilson's view, his argument is at least informed and well reasoned. Apocalypse Lite is trying to counter by throwing sloppy psych research around.

What I want to point out is why when we hear someone like this speak, we do not discuss what is going on in his mind - in his brain - and how basically, it is patently obvious that he has absolutely no sensitivity to what it means to want a good society; a peaceful society; a society in which people are mindfully connected to one another; a society where scientific understanding and conscious and empathic understanding of human relations flourishes within every mind.
It's a blatant appeal to emotion, the writing style is almost insulting. It aims to create an Us vs Them dichotomy by making the differences seem impossible to bridge. It's also hard to take someone seriously when using phrases like:
"The problem is, Cody, who speaks with a smile and devilish twinkle in his eye - all inications of narcissism and empathic deficits - nevertheless insists that he has right; he has a right. And hearing this again and again is somehow supposed to mean something to the normal person."
Ad Hominem, it reeks of it.

As for the OP, Apocalypse Lite was it? Sounds like a first year student in another field who's using google to try to sound smarter than s/he really is. This person's grasp on and presentation of the psych and poli sci perspectives s/he is trying to use to back up this argument are all wrong.
