Eminem's Songs Used in American Military Prisons

Most of you are probably aware of this, but two of Eminem's songs - "White America" and "Kim" are used in American military prisons to further aid in the, ah-hem, interrogation process.

So, say you're sleep-deprived and disoriented, under constant surveillance and you're probably being tortured: would these songs (presumably played on repeat) bother you at all? Would they worsen a process that which is obviously designed to break you down?

It depends on how bad I was being tortured, I think. Unless I thought I was going to be killed, I would probably bob my head to the beat and rap the lyrics back at my interrogators.

This reminds me of when the US military had deposed Panamanian dictator Manuel Noriega surrounded at the Holy See's embassy. He wouldn't come out, so the army got these giant ass speakers and kept playing Panama by Van Halen on loop outside the building for days on end. Noriega could not sleep and eventually surrendered himself.

Panama would drive me batty long before any Eminem songs would.

It's that damn chorus...

Indeed, it was enough for Noriega to willingly concede to incarceration. Although thanks to the Third Geneva Convention he was considered a PoW and got a cell with electronics and exercise equipment; that's not all that bad I guess. Too bad he had to go to jail in France after that, and now he's serving a sentence in Panama.
