Psychopath and Feelings.

Why do they have such distorted or non-existent feelings? Do you think their brains are shut down or broken in a certain part?

What makes their brains shut down and break? Substance abuse? Toxic pollutants? Bacterial Infections? Retardation?

All of the above?

In World War I, trench warfare produced thousands and thousands of psychopaths that were temporarily disabled and sometimes permanently disabled.

Sometimes they were able to hypnotise people back to normal, but most of the time they used electro shock therapy and that fixed them.

Why do you suppose that is? Perhaps a reset of the brain. Maybe electroshock therapy fixes the part of the brain that was shut down and wakes it up, or maybe it destroys so much of the brain that people turn into zombies, or maybe the electricity kills all the bacteria in the brain.

Everybody obviously thinks that shell shock happened to people because they were in traumatic situations. However, few people ever stop to consider the extremely poor health, infections, bacteria and desease that was everywhere.

Maybe psychopaths and sociopaths are simply dirtier people?

Right? Many of histories craziest psychopaths, are co-incidentally also some of the dirtiest with the worst hygiene.

Manson was a homeless street person, he was extremely "earthy".

Robert Pickton was a pig farmer who hid in the carcasses of dead pigs when hiding from his mother.

Does this guy have good hygiene? I don't think so...

Give him a break, people post crazy things when manic. It can be fun at times.

As to the OP, Manson I'm pretty sure was schizophrenic. More delusional than unemotional. Something very typically not psychopathic/Sociopathic/ASPDish.

Schizophrenia includes delusions but typically these people are so unhealthy they scare off the people around them because the delusions are so scattered and nonsensical. These people are rarely violent, actually. They are just organically sick. The main difference between delusions of an axis I nature (disorders treatable with medications) and axis II disorders (personality disorders not treatable with medications) are the absence or presence of manipulation.

Delusions are present in a number of psychiatric conditions, actually. Psychopaths are delusional, usually a grandiosity of being untouchable as they so need to believe in their power. Delusions of that nature are useful in drawing people into being manipulated. P's know when to apply delusions and when to behave without them.

Shell shock has nothing to do with psychopathy as true psychopathy develops before the age of six.

Also ECT (shock therapy) only delivers the same amount of electrical energy already in the brain. It doesn't 'zap' people, it reroutes the electrochemical pathways. The brain is born smooth and over time it develops wrinkles. Say in one wrinkle the depressed person has their usual thoughts, "I am worthless, the world is against me, life is horrible". Well that pathway is well used and like stream turned into a river, it is a powerful thing. ECT simply draws away the electrical pulse from that fold. It loosens the memories attached to the fold, and the person is drawn to other parts of the brain that have a blank slate - essentially forgetting about the things they've been thinking about that bothers them.

For people with PD, this disinhibits them because unlike healthier people, they have no functioning limbic system (emotional center) which just opens up the defense more as they are still stuck without a rudder after treatment.

I do wonder why OP is so unintelligibly thinking out loud.

That is because they are all true.

Ah, you are a filthy one. I bet you wear megadeath t-shirts, share the same room with your cats litterbox and go weeks without showering. Perhaps you have fungus in your brain?

Something very typically not psychopathic/Sociopathic/ASPDish.

He did run a cult, but he was extremely anti-establishment. He lived on the street, stealing cars, doing your typical homeless thing in Los Angeles. He was 100% ASPD by many peoples standards, a psychopath by others, and if you consider his cult and society he built, he was a very successful sociopath.

He was also extremely filthy.

@reyal

I don't know where you get your information, because all of it is wrong. Do you have an older brother who is mean to you?

7. Confuse correlation with causation, and falsely extrapolate broad conclusions from small data sets.

Oh, what excellent logical skills. No one paid you much attention growing up, did they? I can't decide if that's because they realized you're terminally stupid, or if you're terminally stupid because you were stuck running your ideas by the walls you counted as friends.

I can't believe that you even exist. I'm starting to believe that there could possibly be a God, and that he or she has an incredibly satirical sense of humour.

Information is from clinical practice, my friend. :-)

I have no actual interest in you but you might be a good catalyst in a way.
