I strongly doubt that.

Another fictional character that comes close to mind is the Punisher.

Personally, I have dealt in a very heavy handed way with certain people, who thought that the might is right and tried to get their way with those who could not, or would not defend themselves.

The comparisons between real life and the fictional reality of what is represented by authors dreaming up characters who ever seek only vengeance against all those who imply injustice in all their actions and those who will oppose them at all costs should not be a scope of an inquiry that is based in facts.

Sometimes those who act like 'sinners' are saints and vice versa.

Suffice to say that I know enough people who take a stance, try to hold to it and then see through their own delusions of what justice, or injustice really is.

Still, I wouldn't mind throwing hot oil and fries into the face of someone I would deem worthy of that privilege.

There's a reason why Iustitia is pictured with a BLINDFOLD, and a scale and a sword.

There's an oldtimer ex-con on PF who likes to dole out justice on emotional/empathetic grounds.

Needless to say he's a born-again Christian (emphasis on the born-again brand).

Needless to say his sense of justice sucks. 

i think serial killer edmund kemper was a good example of the kind of justice the op is talking about

his mother did terrible things to poor edmund by forcing him to sleep in the cellar

but he avenged by killing 6  female hitch hikers his mother both of his grand parents and a friend of them

this is the kind of emancipation i hope all sociopaths will find to free them selves of the shackles of the society

That tends to happen when you drink all the Grouse.

I'd argue he was closer to pushing for those values to relieve his own pain through a proxy. He was ultimately self-serving, but his way of expressing that happened to help others. It wasn't about justice, it was about his inner child's need to lash out at those who hurt him. It was closer to vengeance than anything good or righteous, and with the right mind fucking with him that aggression could have been turned toward either a different or a wider group of potential victims.

I'm more of a fan of The Comedian personally.
