Alter-egos

Yea, I have Mr Niceguy and Mr Evil. Both are me. So in that sense I don't have an alter ego, "they" have each other.

But there have been times when a certain interest or activity or mood actually shaped me to the point I became someone "else".

Also if I have to do a boring task (mainly chores) I stand outside myself and instruct whoever is doing the tasks so I don't have to.

When I drink I just become chill. So I'm boring that way.

Anyone here have an alter-ego?

I have a friend who gets drunk and becomes Merquisha XD it's hilarous. I wondered if anyone else has any alter-egos. If you do what are their names and use?

Vanette... I mean AIO you can be first

I'm very different around different people, but most people are that way. Social groups ect.

But the question is what exactly is an alter ego, a whole other sort of person or what? Where does the line go between adapting to the social context and a alter ego?

Ha I do this but it's specific to what I'm drinking. Certain liquor(s) will allow my inner slut to surface. She loves rap music, thinks more eyeliner is better and is a bit of an exhibitionist. Normally I try to blend in more.

When this occurs I've normally been called Minx affectionately or Kitten by an ex. Apparently I purr as well a bit during that.

I don't say it does but I say it can. I see others in a similar way also. For me they don't really have a core.

I'm absolutely not dissociative. Not in the classic sense anyway. Maybe they dropped me when I was a baby and I got some weird brain damage, who knows?

Are you trying to imply you have identities born from dissociation?

I do not think obsessing over details, being self-conscientious and not being able to see the bigger picture creates fragments of a mind. It is actually set in stone in the core personality. But that's just me. I just accept everyone else sees things differently.

People's personalities are way too complicated to latch one-dimensionality to it.

No. I don't have an alter-ego. Who I am online is pretty much who I am off the net as well, at least around my family anyway. Though, I tend to be less inclined to share my homicidal thoughts with them, or other certain views they may not agree with.

My family think I'm selfish and stubborn, self-centered and shallow, blunt and outspoken, untrustworthy and unreliable, overconfident and egotistical, which is pretty much how I'm perceived online as well. A lot of people don't seem to like that very much.
