Don't trust people out of the blue; have them earn it.

"Zinc deficiency?"

He was referencing Pyroluria. It's doubted often enough in the field as a "snake oil salesman" sort of deal, but it's hard for me to doubt it being my own case beyond speculation of "correlation does not always mean causation". For it to be Placebo, I'd need to have expected it to fix my paranoid schizophrenic, OCD, and OCPD symptoms in advance, but instead I'd begun trying it from it's supposed assistance in stress reduction and exercise when I saw I lacked it during the beginning of my Calorie Count days. The difference was shocking and unintentional from not expecting sanity as a side effect.

Man, being drug-resistant must suck...

I know the antipsychotics I've tried ran through me like water... And I've met a clinically depressed girl who resisted 50 drugs, but finally found one that served her well. Perseverance.

It is really this easy...

The body craves nutrition. If you feed it junk food, you will eat more junk food in an attempt to getthe nutrition ou are lacking, and the fuel you put in will be shit, you will get fat.

If you are on anti-psychotics, you are annihilating your brain in a controlled manner, and the weight gain is a desperate attempt by your body and your hunger to get nutrition into the system to repair the damage.

Zinc Deficiency? Sure... what do they do? Measure someones urine for levels of Zinc? Maybe they retain zinc? They sure as hell are not cutting open peoples brain and testing for zinc there, are they? Maybe they are but I highly doubt it...

The body is complex... give it as much highly packed nutrition as possible. That's about all there is too it. Mega dose vitamin C, make liposomal. Study the animal kingdom. Which part of the animals to jackals go for after the kill first? What are the choice cuts? What are the foods in the wild that reach newborns? Newborns get special nutrition all the time, and so on...

"Measure someones urine for levels of Zinc?"

It is supposed to leave the body to an excessive degree through urination supposedly in the afflicted individuals, which is why diuretics aren't recommended. I think there's some test where someone's piss makes a test appear a different color or something if it applies. Edit: I think it's The Mauve Factor?

I'd honestly think there was no way that Pyroluria could be a thing if I hadn't found Zinc to work by accident. It's a shame that it's not a fix for all forms of schizophrenia, but it seems to help me.

yeah, it's pretty tough to say what works and what doesn't. With me at least. Seems as if paying attention to my nutrition daily and monitoring my symptoms isn't really something I do.

Nutrition is a long term thing, I think...

I just make sure I don't get into toxic doses of anything, and go from there...

I figure, the healthier the immune system is, then that's going to put a few hundred million years of evolution science at work. What's a pill going to do?

I was on anti-psychotics, very wearily for a very short run. 20lbs weight gain in two to three weeks. I discontinued early, wasn't interested in having to climb out of a ditch that steep.

The rebound was fun though, lots of hallucinating...

Anyone think it's strange that many of the anti-psychotics are derivatives of pepper? In ancient rome, they say pepper was worth it's weight in gold, pound for pound.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piperidine

Piperidine and its derivatives are ubiquitous building blocks in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and fine chemicals. The piperidine structure is e.g. found in the pharmaceuticals:

SSRI (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors)
paroxetine
Analeptics/Nootropics (Stimulants)
methylphenidate
ethylphenidate
pipradrol
desoxypipradrol
SERM (Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators)
raloxifene
Vasodilators
minoxidil
Neuroleptics (Antipsychotics)
risperidone
thioridazine
haloperidol
droperidol
mesoridazine
Opioids
Pethidine (Meperidine)
loperamide
Other agents
Psychochemical compounds
melperone the psychochemical agents Ditran-B (JB-329), N-methyl-3-piperidyl benzilate (JB-336) and in many others.

Sorry, but neuroleptics simply scare the shit out of me...

Some SSRIs are derivatives of pepper as well... makes one wonder...

Yup that is sort of obvious that you are a paranoid delusional.

I also get paranoid, or see things the wrong way alot of times as well...

Just when you think you can trust a situation, someone does something nasty to fuck everything up. I cannot tell you how many times I have been beaten, robbed, and threatened. Not much, but enough. Only twice with a gun. At least twice with a knife. I've had my place cleaned out at least twice. I have been beaten up by strangers at least 5 or 6 time maybe? I have been poisoned at least twice. Poisonings that were hard on me. Nothing serious, but enough... and if we get picky, I've been robbed, short-changed and withheld money owed that easily goes into the tens of thousands...

I mean I am sure worse has happened to others, way worse, but I am sick of it... walking into a store after I lock my bike up and walk out and it's gone in under 3 minutes... People taking my money and giving me nothing in return. People destroying stuff that I have worked on in the workplace. Genuine sabotage... People walking all over me whenever they want. It goes on forever. It never stops and the bad shit that has happened to me honestly it really seems as if it is nearly more than the good stuff.

I see your point. There are things that controlling people and paranoids have in common to a certain degree though. They shouldn't get mixed up.

From what I read on this thread, some of you really struggled with paranoia-related issues. I suppose I agree that

The line is drawn when reality is no longer the base for the caution. Paranoia distorts reality: exaggerations, excessive worry and doubt, projection, denial and catastrophic mindset are all distortions of reality.

Objective reality is unaccessible to us, so that line can be pretty blurry in some cases. All we have left is likelihood, and people appreciate that differently.
