I read it lightly around the time it came out. Most of my quotes and references are gone now, but I remember it being a rather silly pretentious read.

 I enjoyed this comment so much that I am commenting on it.

Do you remember how long it took you to get through it? I figured I might read it if it'd waste less than an hour of my time. Which it sounds like it would, though I might even resent that much time spent on it. Ever read "Sense of an Ending?" Seriously - that shit was, like a 110 page whinge-fest. It took me half an hour to read it and I'm still angry about it.

Pretty much what I thought. I didn't think that any of the old timers would've actually read it - the only people on this forum who seem to have read it are those who come here squawking about how disappointed they are with the "real" M.E they saw on "Dr. Phil".

It should have been called "Confessions of a Spoiled Brat."

She's always given me the impression that she's a narcissist. Though that would potentially be consistent with the parenting skills that would've led to her becoming a spoiled brat.

i haven't read the book, does she go into her upbringing? possible abuse?

I might have considered it, if I saw some positive reviews done by qualified mental health professionals that know a thing or two about the disorder, and not just by the claims of the selfproclaimed sociopaths and her fanclub.
