Does anyone here do things like recycling?

How do you feel about the general state of the planet?

Do you care about it?

Recycling isn't difficult, so I go through it mostly out of habit. It makes my trash fill slower by having somewhere else that some of it goes.

I recycle as the product of conditioning. I don't actually care about the planet, but it feels wrong to break that expectation.

As a very young child, I was heavily influenced by the movie, 'FernGully: The Last Rainforest.'

In the movie, there are fairies and talking animals. They have such a wonderful world, so very different from the world outside. Humans are potrayed as monsters controlled by a spirit of destruction. The spirit manifests as a giant fire skeleton thing on which the fairies use magic to trap inside a tree.

I'm not a radical environmentalist misanthrope anymore though. I recycle when it's available.

By a landslide. Most disposables go to recycling. Organic waste goes into compost which is a form of recycling. Garbage ? On the most part what goes there are impractical things. Hardly anything goes in the garbage.

By the end of it all a portion of what we recycle ends up in a landfill anyway.

Still rich and beautiful with enough for all. State of economy is another story. Greed is our demise in the making.

Do you care about it?

The most realistic alternative would be a space station, with plants to restore oxygen, instrumentation to recycle and clean the ever so precious supply of water, and the labor of planting seeds in precious soils sometimes with our own shit so we can continue a meaningless existence in what is basically a caged aquarium in outer space.

To not care about the earth is to not care about the place where freedom itself stands a chance. That is the way of lower consciousness. As we are, I'd rather be here, and to keep it inhabitable isn't such a bad idea.

One of the guys that founded Earth day killed his girlfriend and then composted her. That is commitment to a cuase right there.

That actually sounds pretty cool. I feel like it might raise my consciousness. You get to really, feel the universe, by seeing space so close.

"Taking the stand in his own defense, Einhorn claimed that Maddux was murdered by CIA agents who attempted to frame Einhorn for the crime due to Einhorn's investigations on the Cold War and "psychotronics"."

what a strange defense

I enjoy the Earth, nature is the only place I can get any relief from the constant tension of wanting to snap but not wanting to go to prison. So I care for the Earth, but I dont always care about recycling.

I love the earth.  I find trees much more personable than people. : P

Also I like being alive, and as the earth sustains that, I think I probably owe it my allegiance.

Needless to say, yes, I recycle.
