I bumped into an old colleague the other day and found out some interesting news. It seems the devious behavior of my old team has been continuing since i parted ways. I used to work in a call center. We dealt with technical issues, as well as customer service and sales.
My team was always near top for sales. Mainly because quite a few of us had previous sales experience. Also because we had individuals who were abusing the system, using "hard sales" tactics and abusing offers that were for customer retention.
Anyhow... this colleague was telling me that they recently overhauled the systems but beforehand, they reviewed all recent agent logs and found evidence of credits being applied "without reason". Also, that agents had still been abusing offers etc. One gentleman, whom i always disliked, was forced to pay back the amount he had credited on a family members account.
I am glad i got out when i did.If they had viewed my logs, who knows what kind of mark would be left on my employment record. I noticed that i was being watched, put the pressure on my manager and he confessed that i was going to be given disciplinary action. I then managed to convince him, to tell me what the outcome of it was going to be. He told me i was going to be dismissed for gross misconduct, so i wrote a letter of resignation the same day and left it on his desk.I then cleaned my locker quickly and got escorted out of the building. It was a long time coming,as the time before all reports concerning my misconduct "disappeared" before the previous disciplinary... Nothing to do with myself of course.
From then on, i have promptly removed them from my c.v, as i do not want to risk a negative recommendation. Just sticking to college references and my other jobs for the future.
