Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response

Cool. The whispers didn't do it for me, but I got slightly aroused lol. But yeah, I've had "brain orgasms" many times before. It's usually while listening to awesome music (lights turned off, eyes closed, etc. in an attempt to totally immerse myself in the sounds), but I've also felt it while thinking (though it's much rarer, and is perhaps mixed with euphoria due to my sometimes megalomaniac thoughts). The whole nervous system seems to get hyper sensitive, it's awesome. It's so awesome, in fact, that to this day I still remember the first time I felt it, lol, a few years ago.

I couldn't "brain orgasm" with the whispers, though. It was too boring and eventually I just stopped trying (yes, this is something you actually try and do: By focusing all your attention in the sounds, closing your eyes and hoping for the best, basically. That's how it works for me, at any rate).

I guess I could share what I believe will get you a "brain orgasm" more easily than dull whispers:

Around the 2:40 mins mark starts the "brain orgasm" section, but to maximize the chances of feeling it you must listen everything from the beginning, with good headphones, with your eyes closed (and if possible in a room with no sunlight). First or second time I heard this, I couldn't hold my jaw in place, lol: my mouth just opened. Be sure to click the HD button on the player to listen the sound in higher quality (only 128 kbps if I remember correctly, but it's still better than nothing).

That man is creepy and unsettling. Look at that grin while he does stuff!

"Aww yeah, listen to that paper crinkle. Now watch me flick this lighter at you! Aww yeah, this is fun."

I know he's doing it sarcastically, but god damn his creep factor. He also had to be inspired to not only record this, but upload it in the first place.

I got nearly 10 minutes in before I had to go and destroy a couple of pillows with a knife.

It was worth it to find the world's best misophonia related trolling material though :D

The first time I ever remember getting anything that remotely resembled ASMR, was back in college waiting for the train.

All week long I had been having eureka moments. Revelations. Each time I felt distinct tingling in the brain.

Years later I found ASMR, and yeah, best relaxation experience ever.

I stumbled across ASMR shortly after I stumbled across binaural beats which I equally enjoyed. Binaural beats simply knocked the anxiety and tension right out of me, sort of a full brain reset, for lacks of better term.

Was nearing total and absolute burnout, so it helped me a lot. Now the tingles don't matter so much to me, as in I still get them but the amount of pleasure I feel from them is reduced, as I've sort of grown immune after over a year of non-stop watching, plus some anti-psychotics my doctors gave me. After the meds, my brain chemistry altered a bit, and quite enough that it's ruined some of my ASMR pleasure, and I am nowhere near as stressed out as I was back then. After the meds I stopped my biting my nails. No effort required, I simply stopped biting my nails, after years of habitual nail biting.

I watch for entertainment now, and I get very relaxed from them, but nowhere near the pleasure I was getting two years ago.

Two years ago, there were days when tingling was fully autonomous.

I got in for 13 seconds and couldn't take it anymore.

The only feeling I got from this was severe irritation. I fucking HATE whispering. The spit and saliva sounds, and the lack to hear anything coherently, kills me.

You lasted longer than expected. Still, you missed the best part. Your misophonia thing fascinates me. My prankster self would love to immobilize you, put some headphones over your ears and play this from 13:05 onward for hours :D Maybe film your ordeal too.

You just try it, and I guarantee it'll be the toughest fight of your life :D

I have actually volunteered to let someone do that to me soon though, but strictly in the name of scientific research.
