Not sure if i can relate - never been the introspective type, my feelings are all induced by the sensory effects of the external world (or the memory of those stored in my head). Sight, sound, taste & smell can fill me with exuberant joy or abject dread, yet interpersonal going-ons (except with a very small select number of people) barely even register on my radar.

But i relate very much to the traveling bit. It's my drug (which i can't afford much, sadly).

 Interesting. Makes me want to get inside your head some...

Haha, you don't want to go there -- it's a very simple place, really.

You might just have the so-called alexithymic personality. Nothing wrong with that. Alternatively, if you happen to be bipolar, your experiences of this lack of emotions could be rather subjective, especially if they happen to be occurring during times of remission. Again, nothing wrong with that.

Extreme travel is an awesome way to relieve boredom. It can definitely get you into trouble, but sometimes a person just needs to roll the dice.

When I heard that there was a civil war a-brew-ha-ha-ing in Egypt I immediately booked flights. I've always wanted to travel through Egypt and the idea of being embroiled in danger (albeit a danger that I can walk away from, assuming that I don't get accidentally shot) appealed to me. But all flights to Egypt out of Australia ended up being cancelled one week prior to my departure, so I ended up someplace else instead. It was fun, but (I assume) not as fun.

I want to travel, but I haven't had much of an opportunity to do it, yet. I wanna traipse through the rainforest and kitesurf in the Exumas! :D

Do it! You'll never regret it.

I plan to- soon.

I do this and I figure its a form of escapism for the meaninglessness of life. But maybe its just because sometimes I like having fun and not feeling is boring.

It is very hard to keep giving to someone when they give nothing back, in return. And if you like someone, you don't feel unsure , when they don't express their feelings towards you?

If someone does not tell you, show you, or do nice things for you, doesn't it frustrate you?

So you would only think of yourself and your needs if your partner were to sometimes go blank? Even if it's only momentary?
