Sociopaths Good, Lonely People?

Ted Bundy said he felt lonely. He had a girlfriend. That means he must not have been a bad guy. He felt normal emotions. Sociopaths are just like you and me, good, decent, average human beings with big hearts.

Is your screen name a play on naïve?

Also, if I follow, "romantically attached" = "not bad" ... yeah.

This is not to say that I think sociopathy necessitates murder, rape, etc. But these things are much easier when one lacks empathy and guilt, and easier still when value judgments like 'good' and 'bad'  are tied to a moral code steeped in emotion. Sociopathy makes anti-social behavior much more likely.

Ask yourself this: how do you define what's "good" and what's "bad"?

Potential sarcastic trolling aside, your comment is not far off the mark.

Give me a break, it is the emotions of the sociopath that drive them forward uncontrollably.

Guilt, anger, shame, pride, all fundamentallist stuff, jihad with an AK-47 charging a tank, screaming Allah... total psychopath... and within his social circles, 100% pro social...

Get above your emotions, that's the only way to see yourself objectively...

A sociopath's heart is the same as a non-sociopath's heart. It's an organ that pumps blood.

Although this is a troll thread, I'll answer as though it isn't.

Nothing Ted Bundy said can be considered true, he would often lie on camera to make the public more sympathetic towards him. This can be evidenced in his final interview, when he famously was [quite] obviously trying to sway the interviewer to get him on his side. He would say anything to get people to believe he was innocent.

As for are sociopaths good people? Without delving into what is considered good or bad: There are good sociopaths and evil sociopaths, relative to societal expectations. Sociopaths aren't inherently evil (relative to social expectations) and only people who do not know much about them believe that.

Do sociopaths get lonely in the traditional sense? From my experience, no. Sociopaths do not seek traditional companionship and do not experience anything to do with a loss of this companionship, other than damage to their ego, depending on what happened.

 Loss of resources as well.

Is your name supposed to be Adam Naive or Adam N' Eve? It's hard to tell. Either way, I still don't think he was a psychopath. He displayed nervousness alot. Ted Bundy was most certainly not a kindhearted fellow.
