A kid.. nuffsaid.
I used to feel like I had a purpose, but now I am comfortable. My "purpose" is now to maintain the environment that makes me comfortable.
I don't like the idea of echo-ing after death. If you have a strongly echoed life, assholes twist it into something that suits them once you aren't around to stop them. I really hate that idea.
What purpose in life do you serve? What is your function? To survive.
What keeps you getting out of bed in the morning? Self-preservation.
If you were to die, what echoes of your life would continue without you? For how long would it echo? I have no idea, nor do I care.
And yet... You are pursuing excitements which can threaten your survival... A bit short sighted for my taste.

Self-preservation is a natural instinct in all of us. It's something we're all born with. Just because I have a natural desire to live, doesn't mean I want to live forever.
I don't have a death wish, but I'm not afraid of dying either. We're all gonna die eventually, so may as well take a few risks in life and enjoy it while I'm alive, and if I happen to die instead, well, shit happens.

1. I believe the purpose of life is to have fun. It really is as simple as that.
2. At the weekend, the thought of what I am going to do that day. On weekdays getting out of bed is a Herculean task, after which I reward myself with a coffee and a cigarette.
3. I would love to be able to have children, as I think that contributing to the future gene pool of humanity is probably the single greatest and most long lasting thing any of us will ever do. Failing that, there have been some really quite good poems and possibly a novel written for/about me, which I believe one day may reach a wider audience.
