We could laugh or we could cry, depending what we're taught is socially the norm to communicate to others.

In real life I might have felt the panic of the dog owners first and foremost. (But I would have explained to them your reaction was "stress related" and not to take it wrong if that's your first response.)
I did that once. When a friend of mine was pissing me off so much, mouthing off at me while we were in the car, I just yelled my head off at her that I was driving. She kept trying to argue about directions. It got so ridiculous I started laughing. She was traumatized and scared I had to be psycho to laugh out loud while screaming at her. But it was so obscenely stupid and dangerous, I had to pull over. To keep stressing me out when I was driving till I'm screaming over her? I'm fucking ASIAN and can barely drive in a straight line. Are you trying to get us KILLED???

Funerals are boring. I'm not sure why you find them funny at all, and I really don't see the humor in planes hitting buildings or people jumping to their death out of them. What's funny about them?
A friend of mine who laughed at her grandmother's funeral said it was just everyone was so fucking serious.
The pressure to act like everyone else was too much and she burst out and had to be taken outside.

The more "unfunny" or bored/stupid the "straight man" thinks of the goofy guy, it's even funnier. that's the joke! Just irritates the fuck out of them who don't see the humor in any of it!
