Sociopath Community

You're doing (and have done) the exact same thing as the thread starter does in a more socially appropriate way.

The key difference between me and the OP is that I admit that I'm a narcissist. I don't care what anyone else believes they are unless their reactions to my posts are going to cause them some kind of distress. The OP is determined to convince everyone here that we're NOT sociopaths, despite the fact that it's actually very rare for anyone here to claim to BE a sociopath. The OP appears to be insinuating that we imply that we're sociopaths to avoid publicly claiming a title that would cause ridicule - which the OP is keen on dispensing.

Hair-splitting aside, you're both seeking the same thing: Bolstering of self-image through social feedback. Him through how he is akin to something he idealizes (sociopathy), and you toward positive stories of yourself extolling all the qualities you believe make you a great person.

I tell positive stories pertaining to my own experiences when questions are asked of them. The primary reason for my coming here is entertainment. I call myself a narcissist because I'm comfortable with that - which ironically, is not something a narcissist would normally do. Usually, when you call someone a narcissist they start screeching about what a mean, uneducated person you are and then spam the shit out of your thread with a million posts justifying why they're not a narcissist, which of course serves to prove the opposite.

 I'm not sure. But why focus on someone's username from so far back, if you're new to the forum? And the only other name being a more recent member.

I'm not exactly new. I lurked for about two years prior to posting (if you believe Edvard, I posted several years ago under the name "Selena"). I drop in and out when I have free time, so I do tend to miss a lot of what goes on here.

 I was referring to the OP as being new, and referring to The Psychologist, another newbie.

I didn't think you were new. You get the dynamics on here. Too much so to be new.
