Since I've been on this forum, I have witnessed this derogatory term slapped on members because of what they are. The discrimination is absolutely disgusting, why can't these people be recognized like the rest of you? All of this hatred put up on these people is appalling, so I want to have a discussion about this word. 

I am of course talking about narcissist. 

I see it tossed around as if it's some taboo word. Anyone who is accused of narcissism is socially blacklisted and their opinions dismissed on the grounds of them being delusional. Why can't their disorders be recognized among the plethora of mental health issues here? And why is there such a backlash towards them? Did I miss some infamous, narcissistic troll that ruined it for the rest? 

The McCarthyism around here is bothersome.

I don't mind narcissists specifically. But I find it annoying when a person is full of themselves for no good reason at all.

Narcissists can be pretty funny. That's pretty much my only relationship with the term.

I guess its because they tend to act overly douchy (as in douche) sometimes.

Of course its nice to have self confidence but they like detach themselves from being human (using terms like alpha male or the man) and that's what i find most difficult in dealing with them.

I tolerate there existance and thats as far as i'm willing to go.

The words Narcissist and Aspergers are used in this forum, as a form of insult. Because MOST of the people in here, are busy trying so hard to prove to themselves, and to everyone else. That they are sociopaths.

I have highlighted the word "MOST" For people like Turncoat.

 

There is no further reason for anyone else to continue this discussion on this thread.

 

For I have given the only logical answer to the question.
