Facial Tattoos

I have been wanting to get a tattoo on my face for quit some time. I have a lot of tattoos but none on my face. I have hit a point in my life that it dosent matter to me how my appearance will affect my ability to get a job. That being said, I want the tattoos on my face to reflect who I am and what I believe in.

I can't seem to make up my mind what I want. I know I don't want a pussy ass tear drop or any of the stereotypical prison gang marks.  Are any of you artists or just good at drawing ? I was thinking along the lines of different symbols I can incorporate into a story about who and what I am. I know I want the symbol for "Torment" and somethings that would symbolize emptiness, anger, and physical pain.

And a design that would portray me and the animal that wants to come out of me.

The only people that get facial tattoos are attention seekers.

People who get a lot of tattoos are expressionists. Often artists themselves. However, when you decide it is time to alter your face, your real identity, you become lost really. I'm not sure face tattoos are wise, either that or it has to be something really badass which you can totally relate to. For, with a face tattoo, that is a permanent persona which you cannot just change like make-up or however you dress. You have to be in that mood all the time, or at least portray your persona all the time. This limits your social flexibility and limits who you may be able to communicate to. Which would be fine if your are happy as a hermit or your limited audiences. I couldn't sustain it though. And I'm not sure many people could. Think hard about the other ramifications of facial tattoos other than jobs and work. It affects all communication with people. Children will stare, the elderly will gasp, other adults will not take your seriously in any event. Can you imagine going to court? Applying for a loan? Mortgaging your house? Talking to a solicitor? Anything. Just consider it, then if you are set on it, talk to a tattoo artist who you trust. They always have good ideas.

I like tats. I don't like them on the face. Do your ass before your face if you haven't already done it. In fact it should be illegal for anyone to put ink on their face.

When I first started getting them I didn't put much thought into them. If it looked cool I got it. Now I seek stuff that means stuff to me. Every tattoo I have is a memory of where I was in life and what I was doing. Sure it is a appearance thing, no different than people who make a statement with the cloths that they wear or the vechicle they drive. I would say most people try and portray a certain image. If it be physical or life style image. I'm no diff I just choose to alter how my body looks.

I was in a position a long time ago to get my face tattooed but I knew I was going to have to get a job sometime and I didn't really have any job skills. But now I Know what my future is. So altering my face with tattoos isn't a hindrance it's a personal choice.

I posted this in hopes that some creative person could maybe give me some good ideas.

I just hope you consider all outcomes, as any good socio should, before proceeding with anything you plan. The other way to be a good socio is to do it on complete impulse. One or the other. Your choice, of course.
