Your favourite fictional pyscho/sociopath character?

THAT'S NOT DEXTER. Please... lets be a bit more interesting than that please.

Mine has to be Charles Lee Ray/Chucky, from the Childs play/chucky series of movies.

He's incredibly witty, funny and is a text book psychopath. He is very clever, very in tuned with his senses, knows how to use his environment, but ends up fucking himself over by losing control of his rage sometimes.

He'll be pwning someone with clever movement and pre-planning, then randomly just charge at someone who has a gun or an advantage over him. He fights until his body is completely broken.

I love his first lines in the first movie when the mother forces him to reveal himself.

"You stupid bitch, you filthy slut, I'll teach you to fuck with me". That was just fucking awesome. The dolls face turning from a neutral, expressionless face to a demonic, hate filled, terrifying face.

That was a good movie. It kept you thinking the entire time.

Oh man there's been some many great psychopaths in movies over the years.

And I don't agree with how they ranked them in the Channel 4 special 'Psychopath Night'.

One that I like very much is Louis from the movie 'Kinds Hearts and Coronets' (1949).

First off he is the main character of the movie so he's got plenty of screen time.

Second he appears as such a gentleman and he seems so meek and inoffensive or at least that's the facade he presents to the world.

Basically he could be considered a serial killer (albeit a very specialized one) since he kills every single member of his extended family (all played by Alec Guinness even the women) during the course of the movie. His goal: become the new Duke of D'Ascoyne and have his revenge on a family that scorned him and his mother.

That is one of the oldest 'realistic' (non movie-monster, non career-criminal) psychopath that I could think off the top of my head.

In my opinion, the most realistic psychopath in a movie is Topher Grace's character, Edwin, in the movie Predators.

Thrill Kill is my favorite fictional sociopath.

Jorg Ancrath from Prince of Thorns, probably one of my favorite characters. Looking at his character, I don't think he's a complete sociopath but he's as close as it gets. Always reads people to the letter and is happy to use his 'brothers' for entertainment or to vent frustration.

I stuck Gemt with my knife then. I didn't need to, but I wanted it. He danced pretty enough too, bubble bubble on his blood.
