Picking on people weaker than you.

by BELIAL

I'm talking about modern day in a society, and there are still people slapping around weaklings because they think it makes them powerful or gives them pleasure.

They are really just weaklings themselves to an extent because they need to pick on people that can't fight back.

Weak people deserve what they get for being so fucking weak in the first place.

If someone lays down like a doormat, can you really blame anyone for stepping on them. If you act like a weak person, then you'll get treated like one.

In nature, weakness is shunned and attacked because it weakens the species. It's only humans that nurture it and to what benefit?

Food for thought oh powerful ones....

There is a story in Native American history of an Indian chief who one night talking to his tribe tells them there are two dogs inside his mind. One a white dog who is good and courageous, the other a black dog who is vengeful and spiteful. He tells the tribe the dogs are fighting to the death. A brave, not able to wait for the end of the story asks "Which one of them will win." The chief responds "The one I feed." Choose your heaven or hell....live humanly w/authenticity or make your own personal hell.

1.Why are you saying this here?

2. Wolves, man. Not dogs.

3. Honestly, It isn't a matter of choosing white or black, goodness or corruption or however you see the two. 'Feeding' both your virtues and your 'negative' aspects are important. Temperance is a good thing but not always, sometimes being blunt is needed. Just as always lieing and beong selfish can cause trouble for yourself and others, so can being honest and selfless cause problems.

Be a grey wolf.

I agree you have to adapt yourself to the situation at hand.

But lying a lot can be necessary if your true nature and the facade (the so-called mask) you present to the world are very different. For instance I'm very impulsive and hot-headed but I chose long ago to present myself to the world as being easygoing most of the time because it facilitates things.

Now back on topic:

Some mentioned that helping a weak person could be a long term strategy because they would feel compelled to return the favor. But there are people that are so stupid/slow that I don't even want to make the effort because it would be a waste of time. Their intrinsic value is so low that they wouldn't bring anything to the table.

Some little dudes suffer from the little dude complex. If that is the case and he wont back down. Then you dont have a choice but to stomp a mud hole in his ass. Most little dudes are all bark and no bite. It is there defense mechanism.

Napoleon Complex types really can be amusing.

That's a real misnomer.

The mandatory Wikipedia quote:

The British Tory press sometimes depicted Napoleon as much smaller than average height, and this image persists. Confusion about his height also results from the difference between the French pouce and British inch—2.71 and 2.54 cm, respectively; he was 1.68 m (5′6″) tall, average height for the period.

A small size can be an advantage in life though because people tend to think you're more innocuous. Oh and Bruce Lee was 5' 7½".

There's use of power, and there's abuse of power. What you're saying here is that abuse of power is unnecessary and wrong, and I completely agree with this. Abuse of power is cowardness in my book.

However, if you find yourself in any confrontation or competition you actually want to win, you'd better hope that your adversary is weaker than you in some aspects and use your advantages over him without a second thought. There's no shame in exploiting your adversary's weaknesses, it's what you need to do to win fair and square. If your adversary is not weaker than you, well you'd better make him weaker (sometimes by making yourself stronger) before you hope to win against him.

Hmm, I might sound dubiously altruistic, but when I encounter someone who seems timid and have to cooperate with I tend to mentor them in ways that would toughen them up and make them understand what I'm doing, while I'm at it.

I'm not sure if I've said it before, but you're not a sociopath dude. You're Yoda.

You're not impulsive and hot headed enough if you can "mask" it. How can you control your not being able to control yourself, it's absurd.

Haha, perfectly said Edvard. I hope my adversary is weaker and certainly look to find his weak spots when in a confrontation. That said, I can't be bothered to pick on people I perceive as weaker than myself, unless it's a verbal match and I'm bored.
