Um, no, not really. Parents tend to delude themselves into believing the best about their children. Also, Narcs as kids will want the approval of everybody, so they will probably be better behaved than their siblings. The N kid might become a drama queen (or king) as a teenager, but so does every teenager. The parents are usually objectified and used as a supply source until the N kid doesn't need them anymore, but by that time, the N kid is an N adult, and the parents probably realize they were D&D'd, but don't understand why or are in denial about it.
