I came to PF to do some research in the Shark Tank. Unfortunately, if I step out too long and too often, I go back smelling like prey, and I end up spending days or weeks disentangling myself from their mindgames. Also, it's not always easy to convince the mods that I'm not one of the sharks I'm swimming with--especially after I've adapted somewhat to their way of relating. I can be a little terse with perverts and douchebags :twisted:
I do occasionally come forward if I see a situation that looks like a genuine emergency, tho. Frankly, I end up feeling confused and saddened by most of those situations. Genuine emergency cases don't usually report back to me about whether or not they actually got into that ambulance the mods and I advised them to call.
I like to believe that I help indirectly, by keeping the sharks somewhat entertained, and by keeping the more intelligent 'paths quasi-educated about the importance of good manners, so they don't run amok causing all kinds of hate& discontent all over the Real World :wink: (Xena)
