Do you fear Death ?

Life is the journey of existence. We are not meant to persist, we are meant to be born, to live, and die. This reality is but one string in the chaos of possibilities. All things by their nature are possible, and in some parallel universe they do take place. Existence is an ever expanding fractal, it's purpose is to expend all possibilities, it is the cosmic simulation of everything.

Your place in this machine is to live one life, experience it subjectively and play out your role in the simulation in whatever manner you decide. You are the soul custodian and proprietor of your destiny.  You are at your base a herd animal and therefore subject to social manipulation and propaganda. Your beliefs make you who you are and to that end you become what you surround yourself with, and you feed energy into.

Death is ultimately irrelevant, unless you give it relevance by feeding the notion of it. If you feed into, you will be influenced by it. You could become fearful of it, and refuse to take risks, this could be a good or a bad thing. On one hand it could prolong your life, on the other hand it could hinder you from experiencing the depths of excitement in life. Humanity is constantly doing a balancing act between safety and stimulation. Preservation and Stimulation. These are basic human drives.

What does this all mean? Fuck if I know... I just live and when I die... I'll be dead... so obviously I won't care.

Agreed. I believe Fear is Death. Every action has a reaction. If you were to conquer fear you would be in a sense eliminating the reaction

Fear is engrained on a neurological level. It cannot be "conquered" but you can learn to control fear responses. Fear responses stem from the  amygdalae; the region of the brain responsible for the fight/flight responses, which controls the release of epinephrine via the adrenal gland. There are essentially two pathways of perception, the first is an automatic response which fires in the amygdalae, it takes several fractions of a second for the (second pathway of perception) reasoning portion of our brain to take over and make sense of the perceived threat. This is why people can be surprised and behave re-actively. You cannot and should not want to stop these reactions as they are necessary to our survival. However you can over time learn to control the effects of adrenaline release and learn to function logically (vs reactively and fearfully) under stress.

The military has developed the concept of "stress inoculation" where by a person is put into simulation of very stressful environments and taught to cope with these adrenal responses. They are taught drills which help develope muscle memory and create new patterns of reactivity that are most beneficial for the circumstances. Which is why battle drills and marksmanship are repeated, over and over and over, until it becomes  natural response to stressful situations.

These same principals are used by psychiatrists to help phobic patients to learn how to cope with their fear by slowly introducing the fearful stimulus until they are in control of these responses.

Mmm Beiber, I think you are referring to man's innate instinct to survive. Overcome it and well, you're dead.

No, death is just the end.

And you can prove that without a shadow of doubt, can you?

“I would rather be ashes than dust!I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot.I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The function of man is to live, not to exist.I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them.I shall use my time.”― Jack London

Lack of proof is not evidence that it exists.

My logic only indicates that life after death is unknown and therefore, could be possible. At no stage did I indicate that there's also a possibility that fairies and dragons exist. If they did exist, I'm sure someone would have proven it by now, considering they would be living creatures.

The fact that life after death cannot be proven means that, for all we know, it could exist. Maybe it doesn't, who knows, but you can't deny there's a possibility.
