In my opinion. Why give up the next 20 years of your life that you could have achieved something great or lived life experiencing all sorts of amazing pleasures?

Babies can be cute and funny, but for the most part you're wiping shit and snot, having to give up most of your life and spare time and dedicate it to helping someone else live. That sucks dick.

Your parents had to go through all the bullshit you despise to raise you. Was it worth it?

If you don't want kids, that's fine. Maybe you'd suck at being a parent anyway. So, this decision is the best one you could make, but why care if other people want children or not?

I never wanted kids when I was younger, but times change. I didn't plan to have my daughter, but I don't regret having her either. While I hate the responsibilities involved in parenting, there are some benefits to having children. You just need to recognize those benefits and make the most of them.

That said, while you rot away alone in a rent-controlled apartment or "assisted living facility", eating Swanson Gourmet on a meagre government pension, after years of self-entitled indulgence, I'll be sitting on a pristine beach, contentedly watching my grand-children enjoying the heritage I worked so hard to bequeath to them. 

Moral of the story: spend your life caring only about yourself, and superficial ways in which to feed your temporary appetites, and you'll end up alone, and quite likely destitute. Invest your life in building a heritage to bequeath to your children, and reap the social and financial rewards that come with raising a family intentionally, mindful of the future success of your gene pool.

You're clearly too young and immature to appreciate the finer things in life, or to think beyond next week's frat party, Belial. In the meantime, those of us who understand the value of hard work and a modicum of self-sacrifice will be busy successfully proliferating their DNA.

The title of this thread should have been retarded people shouldn't have kids. Since 3/4 of all humanity is stupid that would solve a lot of problems regarding certain areas being overpopulated.

Some countries like China are fully aware of that problem.

Firstly - don't strawman me. I never said I think whatever anyone who has kids would say on the matter is invalid. You're taking the title too much to heart. Calm your testicles.

Your points -

1. The reward of hard work paying off. 

This is kind of subjective. It depends on whether or not you seeing children/grandchildren enjoying their heritage as success. Personally, I'd just see it as other people enjoying my money that I worked hard for, and nothing more. 

And yes, contrary to what you have made me out to be with your adhominem attacks, I do know what it's like to work hard, very hard in fact, to get what I want and feel the satisfaction of the achievement.

I suppose seeing a person that you've invested time in succeed could be rewarding, but I know that I would be thinking of all the other things I could have achieved during that time period if I wasn't tied down by kids.

2. I'm too immature to appreciate the finer things in life.

A) I know how to survive and act independently and I support myself. That is what really matters, not complying to the conventional standards of maturity where you act in a way that makes other "mature" adults jack you off and say "you are a respected member of the community and a model citizen, good day to you chap".

You've got a conformist mentality and it shows in many ways in your comment. I'll decide for myself in which ways I want to develop, not which ways the majority of people think I should develop.
