Crying

I can't remember the last time I have actually cried for an emotional reason but do you ever have a situation when you see another person for long enough that you begin tearing up yourself although you are completely fine, not sad one bit. I have had this happen to me a few times and I'm always confused as to why it may be happening. Thoughts on this?

Then you're crying from joy.

(That is an emotional reason)

Oh, wait. I reread your sentence a few times. Did you mean that you cry from seeing someone else cry? That's part of a human's learning process, we naturally mimic those around us. Less so when we get older, but still.

I agree with your mimic response. I was thinking that was it but I wasnt sure. I meant I felt no emotion towards the situation so it can't be from joy

Try praticing lachrymology. It's the science of crying as a therapy. I'm 4th tier myself. Only thru pain, both physical and emotional, can one grow and move on to a higher level of being.

That sounds like empathy.

When people cry around me I just get irritated by the sound of it.

My emotions change to fast for me to dwell on them. When I'm faced with sorrow it quickly molds to anger and finally sets in as persistence and determination to claim my object of desire. Whether that object be physical or a simple mental epiphany is up to the current situation.

When people cry, I can't help but laugh. I try to hide it, but I always end up smirking.

I find that odd.

What if the person was telling you about a close friend or family member they lost recently and started crying while talking. Would that make you laugh? If yes, why?

I would just find it irritating because, not only do I see crying as weak, they would expect me to care when I really don't care.

I cry all the time and on cue.
