In response to the OP, "Why are there so many idiots on here?" It's likely hard to pin this down to one reason. Idiots, like non idiots, behave in relation to their background, health, experiences and environment.
So I am sure just like mental illnesses, there are a multitude of reasons people come here. Let's just be thankful they (we) have somewhere to go.
