Questions for motorycylists

Posts: 87

my mum rides bikes and i have seen people do wheelie on youtube and i have been on as passenger and i have rode dirt bikes a few times and some pocket rocket on a track when i was a kid

Is it possible for aerodynamics to effect a motorcycle in such a way as
to become increasingly unstable as the bike picks up speed beyond about
70kmph? --> yes

Also, can wind gusts on a bridge become strong enough to significantly
effect a motorcycle at high speeds? I've had wind gusts push me a foot
or two to the left, but nothing too significant. But I was only doing
like 70kmph, so I'm wondering if this could become much more dangerous
at greater speeds.  -----> probably not unless it's from behind maybe less than 1kmph

most accidents are caused by people in cars who don't pay attention to the people on bikes.. that's what i have seen my mum complaining about a lot and other things to make awareness to people in cars to look where they're driving

my mum is poor so riding a bike is cheaper with fuel than a car though she might drive to work if she didn't want to ride in the rain

I'm curious as to how many of your posts needlessly reference your mother.

Yes.  That's why people make motorcycles that look like this when they go for the land speed record.

The guy that had the LSR died last summer when he veered off, probably because of wind, at almost 300mph.

Yeah to the first q.

Speed can actually stabilize your motorcycle against the wind, but I'd really reccommed you to slow down instead, especially since risk of crash is greater in windy weather, and at lower speeds you have better chances to survive/minimize injuries. At high speeds, the wind will also deviate you from the center of the road faster.
