You can ONLY be a self diagnosed sociopath (unless you are just that old), because the real diagnosis is not even valid anymore, and no actual doctor would ever give that diagnosis.

Sociopath = AsPD with psychopathic traits.

AsPD can be diagnosed and you should know whether or not you have psychopathic traits. Then again, there are people like dex who think that not caring over some dead fish your grandmother owned means you have no conscience, lol. Goes to show how easily some of the traits can be misunderstood by some people.

What is called psychopathy is just a regular set of personality traits. ASPD is valid and i agree in its diagnosis, but psychopathy should just be forgotten because when people believe they have it they assume the role of it rather than just being themselves. No one should just assume a role of a condition/perceived condition, its pathetic.

I think i completely missed Dex because i cant find him, but he sounds like a total pleb loser.

You're assuming that people assume the role of it, which may not be the case at all.

If someone has psychopathic traits, those traits will naturally be displayed. To assume they are playing a role is simply your perception.

Of course, I'm not saying that people don't do that, but to assume we all do is rather naive.

You're assuming that people assume the role of it, which may not be the case at all.

 I would love to be normal but then again I just get a huge rush of euphoria and pleasure by replying to this thread. The happiness and the reward of a reply is everything I need to keep me going though the night. And if the board happen to fall silent there is always more promising waters else where.

I have had ASPD moments. Its basically when I really don't care about inflicting harm on others. Just no remorse. Its quite liberating but then again I try and lock myself up when I am like this because I've done some real stupid stuff before like assault a police officer.

Ah, but by calling it Sociopath Community, we are attempting to be modest for a change.  We would hate to brag openly about our narcissism like that.  Why, that might be considered uncouth, even.
