I would not ask to be cured since I believe that as a sociopath I have a gift that should be used. I can do things that other people find repulsive or abhorrent and I am more aware. It is their misfortune to live without it. As long as I keep in mind the thoughts of others I have no reason to not be myself.
Honestly, I think you'd have to be mental to view any kind of personality disorder as an advantage. That is why they're called 'disorders' after all. Yeah, you might be able to deal with a crisis better, but how often does a crisis happen, really? What about dealing with the everyday stuff? You can't just cherrypick the good traits of a disorder. For every trait that might come in as an advantage once in a while, there are probably five others that disadvantage you every day.

In many cases, advantages develop from disadvantage. Someone without flaws is more likely to also have no strengths. Many disorders lead to a life that grants them something others might lack through adapting to their own pre-disposed problems, since having to overcome something about yourself means you can't just walk away from it like an annoying friend or a bad smell (save for denial really).
