Alterego got me thinking. Do you normally get what you want when you be mean to people? What kinds of things do you act aggressively in order to obtain?

When I want something, I always ask politely first because it's usually more effective than making demands. With that said though, I'm more polite off the net than on. Online I tend to be more demanding at times.

If I ask for something and I'm refused the first time, I'll ask politely again. If I'm refused a second time, then I start to get pissed off and I will demand to have whatever it is that I want. I may even threaten the person out of anger.

I have very little patience and my anger gets the better of me sometimes, but I always get over it quick.

The only time I will aggressively demand something straight up is if I'm demanding something back that was stolen from me. I've done that in the past and so far, it's been effective.

When my daughter's father and I were living together he usually cooked dinner, because he wasn't working at the time and I was. I come home one night from work and he didn't have dinner ready and I was pissed. I suspected he was down at the pub, so I went down there, confronted him and ordered him to go home and cook dinner, which he did.

Another time he stole money off me and took it down to the pub to gamble it. That really pissed me off, so I went down there and demanded it all back. He gave it all back to me, but I could tell he was angry about it. I was angrier.

On another occasion I was drinking down at the park with one of my boyfriends at the time and his friends. I got drunk and walked down to the beach for awhile to watch the waves. When I came back, some guys had showed up and one of them had been drinking my bottle of whiskey. That got me very angry and I demanded the bottle back. When he handed it back to me, I smashed it against the cement pole that was nearby, turned to the guy who had been drinking my whiskey and grabbed him by the shirt. I put the broken bottle to his neck and warned him that I'd kill him if I ever saw his face here again.

I heard one of his mates in the background say, "Come on, man, let's get out of here. That bitch is crazy"

I wasn't crazy though. I was just pissed off.

Orange's youtube channel

Yeah, I did get pissed at Orange because he wouldn't tell me his fucking youtube channel. I did ask nicely the first time for it though.

I learned very early on that my tantrums were very efficient at getting me what I wanted. XD That's why I instinctively make use of them more often than I should. I consider this a character flaw to be honest, as it has encouraged a side of me I'm not too proud of.

Your daughter's father sounds like a real catch.

On topic: Tantrums do the opposite of getting me what I want, so I (generally) don't do them. All it does is serve to make me look vulnerable.

I find you do get more bees with honey however, when I've needed to employ my rage I've never been denied a thing. It's a tactic I don't use as often as I used to. I prefer to persuade more gently when I can with reason. ;)
