Psychologist.

I could see that as intresting.  Prying into someones mentality, understanding what actions influenced them and linking together how these relate to their insecurities seems exciting.  But I would pass that up, I'd grow weary of hearing all the conplaining and sulking.

Same, based on any occupation within a reasonable scope anyway.

With a true any... I'd need to think about what sorts of highly paid weird careers exist. There has to be an amusingly strange one I'd never grow bored of.

I find sociology a more versatile field than psychology.  Perhaps I'm biased because I've had courses on it, but I find a group mindset more entertaining than a individuals. 

I've been more of a one on one kind of person. Sociology I see as "generalization", which tends to have me question it's accuracy with a stronger sense of skepticism.

Trends strike me as less interesting than traits.

A lot of sociopaths are probably drawn to jobs that give them power and control. The high-functioning ones are probably cops and stuff like that.  Actually, maybe cops are the low-functioning ones.  There are probably sociopaths who are CEOs, politicians, judges and stuff, and no one would even know as long as they're smart enough to wear the mask.
