A question for folks with ASPD/PPD

If you had a couple of situations you could choose from, one where you would benefit only and another that would be mutually beneficial between you and the other person, which would you choose? The rewards being equal. And why?

Now, if you picked the mutually beneficial one, if it made it possible that that person might also benefit you more in the future, if you picked that route, would your preference change to that route/decision?

Well damn, I have paranoid schizophrenia that can be treated by a supplement instead of Paranoid Personality Disorder.

One hand washes the other hand...

If you rub my back, I'll rub yours...

Obviousness doesn't necessitate circumventory responses.

Then again, some people like to burn while they watch you burn.

I guess it depends on how much pain you are willing to perceive and for what reason?

Then again, some people like to suffer while they watch you suffer.

Blah, blah. blah...?

Then again...

Making other people understand you, necessitates some unusual nudity on your part. does that make you more nervous, than hiding yourself from the same people?

It's because you're weak and suck at persuasion, so you have to hide behind a mental health diagnosis. It's pretty bad when you use a mental disorder to avoid getting judged for something, means you must be really bad.

As presented the second scenario is the more interesting.

So I would pick the mutually beneficial situation expecting to reap its benefits again in the future the angle their being that if our collaboration was mutually interesting now it'll be again in the future.

But it's a gamble, you can't be sure that the other person would be of use in the future so I'd play on the fact that my help was paramount to getting what he wanted (the idea is to try to make him feel indebted to me).

Now If I was sure I would never see the other person again I'd pick #1 of course. Furthermore I would consider the other person as my competition.

If the other person is someone I don't give two shits about or I am competing against them, I would choose the situation where I benefit only. I'm selfish and I see no reason for them to benefit as well.

If the other person was useful to me in some way, I would pick the mutually beneficial reward, because that will increase the chance of their future co-operation.

Maybe that's a difference between a psychopath and a non? We tend to be concerned more about potential lost opportunities of our behavior, whereas the psychopath might have to be aware of one?

Why not both?

The mutually beneficial reward has potential to ensure that the other person remains useful, while also opening the door to possible future opportunities. The other person may also be useful in other ways down the track.
