from Buddha and Jesus, salvation and peace is not from striving and material effort, but letting go and receiving. In the case of Buddha it was receiving Wisdom and Enlightenment. In the case of Jesus, receiving Forgiveness and Salvation by Grace.

Both the Mind and Heart find spiritual maturity and peace in this way. "rejecting" things with judgment attached is not the same as letting of things without attaching judgment.
