The Inaugural Sociopath Meetup (TISM 2014) - 2nd February, Melbourne Australia

The first meeting of its kind.

We will meet at the visitors center of the Royal Botanical Gardens (in the heart of the Garden!) at Noon (12pm).

We will leave for a walk at 12.15pm.

Wear a predominately blue top/dress/shirt/jacket. Ask blue strangers if they're hungry. When asked, respond with 'always'.

Do not share the nature of our group identity with non group members. Do not bring non-sociopath friends, including dates.

RSVP here.

Most of the people here are from other countries. Do you really think they're going to fly to Australia just to meet up for a day and go for a walk together? Seriously...

I live in Australia and even I wouldn't waste money traveling to Melbourne just for that.

An actual meetup would be better if it lasted an entire week and consisted of entertaining activities.

I would be interested to know though if anyone actually does meet up with you down there. If anyone does, how will you know they're from this forum? Do you expect them to admit their online username and prove it's actually them?

I know a guy who lives in Melbourne who would probably want to beat the shit out of me if we met face to face. I bet there are some here who would probably pay to see him do it too.

Today ?

Though I'm not a sociopath, the best I can do is 8 hours if I went. That is, if I had quick access to an SR-71.

all you have to do is have a food booth saying "free kebabs" or "free graffiti practice zone" and then you can watch the sociopaths come on up and take a bite or do a drawing/painting hey but don't expect them to realise they are a sociopath and if you call them it they might just stab you for fun

Most gang members aren't sociopathic. One or two might be, sure, but most are just followers looking for a place to fit in.

I never claimed that sociopaths are CEO's.

Gangs do not consist primarily of sociopaths because most of the reasons people join them are not related to sociopathy or even AsPD for that matter.

Here are the reasons why people join gangs:

  • To get a sense of 'family'
  • Need for food or money
  • Desire for protection (a means of survival)
  • Peer pressure
  • Family history or tradition (if other members of the family are/were gang members)
  • Excitement
  • To appear cool

No one needs to admit their online username. Potentially people can attend by word of mouth.

This thread is about the meetup, not about whether gang members are sociopaths.

Furthermore, we are not a research committee and you are wasting your time and mine by discussing things you're not thinking heavily about.

And yes, if enough people RSVP I will arrange for more interesting plans.

If you CAN make it, RSVP. If you WILL make it, attend.

Edit: Spelling
