Conquering boredom, lack of motivation, and loneliness

Agreed, I'm waiting to get a job until after I get my license though. I'm sure it will help once I start, but until then have to find some other way to fight the boredom. And I'm a bit of an extremist when it comes to choosing hobbies, just comes down to money.

Like I said, I don't have a job, still in high school, but since Im a straight A honors student I consider school as a job. But there are periods, like right now, where Its difficult to find motivation to do all the work. But it is easy to just make up some story to tell my teachers about my grandpa dying to keep my grades from slipping too much. Career wise, idk about you, but I think that I'm better off going for a job that comes with respect. Maybe an astronaut. My mom and I met with college representatives once and she mentioned that I was an aspiring astronaut. The respect they displayed towards me afterwards was extremely satisfying, and I didn't even have to say one word. Maybe you should go for something along the lines of the military, that way if your mask slips you can just blame it on PTSD.

Hmm, well I wouldn't call it being myself, more like voicing what I'm really thinking and not just what the other person wants to hear.

Red18, you're such a smartass. I don't actually have PTSD, that's just their diagnosis this time around. If there is a next time around, it'll probably be something else. Maybe I'll rebecome bipolar or BPD, depending on the therapists impressions. Or maybe they'll extend ODD to adults, since the reasons teenagers get ODD, is the same reason adults could, that they don't like people bossing them around.

My masks seldom slip, I usually just don't maintain them when people see past it. When they do, I just act like nobody noticed, not even me, and nobody usually does notice at that point. They'll second guess their memory.

Honestly, I probably have no mental illness. I don't know. How would I know? They say the insane wouldn't know, and the sane wouldn't have symptoms to have them suspect.

Wasn't trying to be one, and wasn't claiming you have PTSD. Just giving a career option.

Being a sociopath is only a mental illness if you see it as one.

Lol... yeah, they diagnose childhood disorders in adults. I think I would know what I'm talking about, I was diagnosed it. That and conduct disorder, both childhood disorders I don't at present have as diagnoses. In fact, they were the only 2 diagnoses they seemed confident of with me. And they're the most fake out of all the madeup disorders in the DSM. All you need to do to get them is basically the same thing, coupled with having a mind of your own.

Lol i can't believe they made a disorder for people who do whatever they want, when that is what everyone does anyways
