Agreed, I'm waiting to get a job until after I get my license though. I'm sure it will help once I start, but until then have to find some other way to fight the boredom. And I'm a bit of an extremist when it comes to choosing hobbies, just comes down to money.
Like I said, I don't have a job, still in high school, but since Im a straight A honors student I consider school as a job. But there are periods, like right now, where Its difficult to find motivation to do all the work. But it is easy to just make up some story to tell my teachers about my grandpa dying to keep my grades from slipping too much. Career wise, idk about you, but I think that I'm better off going for a job that comes with respect. Maybe an astronaut. My mom and I met with college representatives once and she mentioned that I was an aspiring astronaut. The respect they displayed towards me afterwards was extremely satisfying, and I didn't even have to say one word. Maybe you should go for something along the lines of the military, that way if your mask slips you can just blame it on PTSD.
Hmm, well I wouldn't call it being myself, more like voicing what I'm really thinking and not just what the other person wants to hear.
