so basically someone made up some slang term for people making arguments called a troll
then it has bounced around in the herds hive mind 
and it has become anyone who is "different" is a troll and the trolls call anyone outside the herd a troll and that if you react to anything in a normal human way you think the other person is a troll due to your paranoid herd mentality
so anything you disagree with is a troll and you couldn't be the real troll could you? because you are imaginary and everything you do is imaginary and normal human emotions are just magic effects caused by trolls..
