So we have a thread about songs that feature a sociopathic theme. Here’s one to celebrate psychopathic hypersexuality.
What music do you listen to when you're in the mood to play?
I saw them in Boulder one time, at the Fox Theatre. I remember barely anything about the show except waiting in line and the bald bass player. I think I remember it was really good, though, and I was surprised because I wasn't relaly much of a fan.
I played at that theatre in a band named Trepanation. Two teenage drummers, two sets, both played at the same time. Some girl told me my voice sounded like Jim Morrison's. I assumed it was an insult. We did a cover of Sweet Leaf in between reggae/ska/funk/punk/wtf songs, but I was no metalhead at the time so I played some Rachmaninoffy junk on the keyboard that belonged to the keyboard player of the The Samples, because it's all I knew how to do. I replaced him in the band because he was in prison. Something to do with heroin. Willie Dixon's son came up to me and told me I was awesome and tried to get me to join his band or something. We all went to the Sundown Saloon after the show and Willie Jr. kept bugging me. I didn't really know who his dad was.
Just came across the Trepanation CD's yesterday. The bald guy bass player in our band had some crush on me, and he seemed to take great pleasure in "letting me go" from the band. He had a tattoo of a tree on the back on his head and a shiny blue bass. I was fine with it, because all the band ever did was smoke pot all day in some fancy house up the canyon.
My friend Jen Levine convinced me join the band because she thought it would be good experience for me. I didn't really want to. She also tried to convince me that I was ADD. She was on Ritalin.
