wtf is this show.. sherlock isn't a sociopath how ridiculous

the mother seems pretty normal of no mental health issue and sherlock doesn't mirror anyone

his clothes do not attract any attention, his behavior interrogates people like a judge and wears mostly black which also is too plain for any one with adhd, histrionic

he's not delusional in anyway

he has no symptoms of ocd

he pathologically lie

he rarely manipulates people

he pays too much attention to details to be a sociopath who would have adhd

he follows the law by an absolute perfection he's not a sociopath(aspd)

he is barely even a psychopath let alone a sociopath

this is a tv show it isn't real the script maker was incorrect (as in normal people made this character) and the sherlock is just an actor

if anything this sherlock just have some minor OCD due to alwats keeping details on everything of everyone which is obsessive other than that there is nothing else he isn't a sociopath

the characters  IQ could be around the 120-140 range

keep in mind sherlock tv show is not real it's just an actor

and the women already said he's  a psychopath and i would have to agree due to him having 0 discrepancies in the character behavior to indicate any real mental illness he isn't delusional he's slightly grandiose or narcissism only due to having a IQ higher than everyone he gets used to being superior

he doesn't have webs of lies

dexter= "high" sociopath (massive rule breaking and coverups)

sherlock = "high" psychopath (no massive rule breaking with a degree of honesty)

the ex-soldier with a damaged leg has a possibility of being a sociopath though..  due to the war and being shot

the first episode with the mysterious business man he got told he missed the war and he is able to hide his stress from the war

while still carrying his gun around which is some slight paranoia which is also associated with sociopaths not psychopaths

Dexter isn't a Sociopath either. He's just a misguided child who once witnessed a blood bath and failed to receive a proper treatment from his new cop dad who decided to embrace Dexter's little violent outbursts instead of sending him to a shrink. If he would have been treated after it became clear that he was killing local dogs, he would have been just a normal boy. Since his step-dad decided to turn him into a serial vigilante killer instead, he became a confused serial murderer. Throughout the series he tries to find his place in life, is constantly whining about various things and makes new friends who turn out to be bad people deserving to be dissected.

In fact, Sherlock is more likely to be a Sociopath than Dexter. He uses people to get what he wants, i.e. his hobo network, loyal Watson, brother with the whole government and so on. Moreover, he despises people and breaks boundaries, e.g. he said that he was stealing badges from inspector Lestrade, does things that rule abiding people wouldn't do, etc. His attachment to people is also questionable since he wanted to get back in touch with Watson just like he wanted his coat. People are tools. Sherlock is grandiose as he always makes an impression that he's better than others ("What is it like in your funny little brains? It must be so boring"). He's easily bored and rather impulsive. Nevertheless, he posses various Schizoid qualities as well which makes me doubt that he's a pure Sociopath or Psychopath (if I recall correctly, his brother Mycroft mentioned that he was that asocial since he was a child). Nevertheless, he could have qualities of various disorders, since that's what people usually do.

Where did you get the idea that sociopaths must have ADHD and why do you think that sociopaths/psychopaths are delusional?

Psychopathy was referred to as "mania sine delirio" (i.e. madness without delirium) because the subjects were lacking delusional thinking. Since Sociopathy differs from Psychopathy merely for the way a subject inherited it, it applies for Sociopathy as well.

ADHD is something you should treat. As you see, people are willing to converse with you when you aren't flooding the forum with nonsense. Just keep your lame jokes to yourself, resist to creating multiple meaningless threads and maybe you won't have to complain that people treat you like a pile of crap you currently are.

You don't really know what you're talking about there, and it doesn't take a shrink to figure that out. I suggest you witness your own family slaughtered in front of your eyes, then be locked starving in a box container in their blood and see if it affects your feelings.

Have you even seen the show and observed how the main character perceives the world?

I have had enough dead relatives in the past few years to be sure it would not bother me much. Starvation, on the other hand, could be a problem. However, I tend to forget to eat when I'm busy and I do not feel hungry until a while after I realise I haven't ate, so since being there would be rather stressful it is also possible that I wouldn't notice the hunger long enough to not be annoyed by it. Furthermore, according to various evidence, I have reached a conclusion that I likely was born disordered so age is also not a factor. Anyway, enough about me, let's head back to the Dexter character, shall we?

First of, I have seen 3-4 seasons of the show and was put off by the repetitiveness because every season had a similar course. I haven't stressed that enough, but it's rather obvious that such a horrible experience had surely made a purely negative impact on the unfortunate child's developing brain. What's also obvious is that he could have developed another disorder instead. In my opinion he suffers from PTSD rather than from ASPD. The way he perceives the world supports this statement, I think.

So you're comparing your view to the view of a newborn child. Not to mention the massacre. I'm not even trying..
