That's a relief.

Stalking is a fabulous way to piss someone off or get arrested.

Stalking is loads of fun, especially if it is a means to an end. 

I like to make a game of it,  though I rarely use the information I gain as anything more than a fail safe just in case the stalk-ee tries to screw with me. 

Having the knowledge that you have all the information and resources necessary to ruin someone if they screw with you is a great feeling. 

I was date raped and black mailed by a boss once, so I secretly recorded all our interactions after, found his pregnant wife's email address, and... Well truth be told he got fired and I never had to use all the dirt I got on him... But I figured out where he lived,  where his ex wife lived, where his parents lived and worked,  where his wife went to school and worked,  where his son went to school and lived, all the other girls he was fucking... I almost wish I'd made use of it all,  but his slimy nature took care of the issue for me. 

That's my favorite stalking story. 

It was a good story up until the part where you didn't destroy him. 

I'd be lying if I said I didn't regret not doing it. I spent a lot of time getting a the info and evidence, and he caused me so much grief. 

I guess it just depends on the reason you do it.

If you are doing it for some type of romantic reason, I would say it can be taken too far. Instead of bringing you closer to the person you are stalking, it just ends up scaring them.

And paranoid,

I don't think you were stalking. I think you were gathering information to protect yourself. 

There is a little romance in stalking but the goal is never a long term relationship. Do you understand?
