Interested in seeing your thoughts about whether video games encourage violent acts and/or offer a release for bottled frustration thus causing a reduction in the probability the player would commit violent acts.
While they may have some mild influence on individuals who are already violent-prone, I don't believe violent video games encourage acts of violence at all.
My daughter has played a lot of violent computer games over the years and she's still a non-violent person.
I think certain types of music has more affect on people (who end up committing acts of violence) than video games.
by MissfortuneInteresting. How does music influence someone to commit violence?
I think those who commit violence based on music they listen to decide they want to be like the person they're listening to, or they just think it's cool or some shit. I'm not really sure. Maybe they're just easily influenced by the lyrics.
Here's a good example: http://www.trutv.com/library/crime/photogallery/crimes-of-the-juggalo.html?curPhoto=2

wouldnt this all just mean the listener would do the violent acts with or without the music...perhaps the music has nothing to do with it...in other words, the person who listens to music containing violent lyrics tends to have violent tendencies...
