If you must ask, I can only assume it has to do with your browser. Are you using some mobile device ? Sometimes there are issues with accessing chat on those.

It's fine on my mobile. You click close to open it up.

My default mobile browser on Android 2.2 only let's me view and log in, but I cannot write, so I got firefox mobile which lags pretty badly.

I'd update the devices OS but I don't want to go through all that backing up.

Ah right. It's a bit laggy on mine at times but I've got Chrome as my default on my Android 4.2.2. I've not tried Firefox for this forum. 

Ana recommended I get Chrome. Or at least I think it was her. Unfortunately that's not available on Android 2.2. I still prefer the default browser, and I use that for lurking here and everything else, while firefox mobile I use exclusively for here, cause it works though it sucks.

Does yours not get automatic updates? I think mine has been updated to 4.4

this is why you should get iphone despite it's glitches it doesn't have stupid problems like that with browsers
